Selenite and Chakra Stone Necklace

Selenite is an alternate name for the mineral gypsum. The word Selenite comes from the Greek “selenites”, meaning “moon stone” or “moon rock”. Selenite is a natural insulator and will appear much warmer to the touch than other crystals. It is a very soft stone, and may come in several different crystal formations. 

The term Chakra refers to wheels of spiritual power and energy throughout the human body. There are seven main chakras, which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. Imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.

Visually, the Chakras are displayed in a channel, each with its own unique colour and meaning. 

Purple stones represent the Crown Chakra, which amplifies wisdom.
Indigo and dark blue stones represent the Third Eye Chakra, which amplifies perception.
Light blue stones represent the Throat Chakra, which amplifies truth.
Green and pink stones represent the Heart Chakra, which amplifies compassion.
Yellow stones represent the Solar Plexus Chakra, which amplifies strength.
Orange stones represent the Sacral Chakra, which amplifies creativity.
Red stones represent the Root Chakra, which amplifies courage.

When used together, these stones are meant to remind you of your completeness, and balance your chakras to allow positive energy to flow through you.

Exposure to water and other chemicals, such as shampoos or perfumes, will damage it over time. Avoid spraying harsh cleaners and perfumes on the stone as it is very porous and these items may discolor or damage the selenite.
If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the selenite itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
