Sometimes it combines with other minerals such as iron, silver, bismuth, or antimony to name a few. Float copper describes a type of copper found in glacial deposits. After the last ice age, when the glaciers were receding, they left deposits of copper in various mountain streams and flatlands, sometimes hundreds of miles from the nearest mines.
