Jasper is a varied family of stones that comes in many different varieties and colours, with over 2000 varieties known.  It is a stone that will have different colourings, patterns, and textures that are completely unique to the different areas where it is found.

Rainforest jasper, or rhyolite, is a mixture of feldspar, nephelite and quartz in many colour patterns including white, grey, red leopard skin and green rainforest. It is found in different places like Mexico, Australia, brazil, and south Africa.

Rainforest jasper offers a key to one’s heart connection to nature and one’s impulse to work toward planetary healing. It awakens the awareness that we, as creatures, are not separated from the world of animals, plants or minerals. With this awareness comes a sense of joy.

This can bring needed balance to the body and can assist one in treating the body better. It supports the release of detrimental habits.

This stone requires special care - exposure to water and other chemicals, such as lotions or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
