Pink Jade and Quartz Dangle Earrings

Pink jade is a member of the jade family of stones, and ranges in colour from white with pink swirlsand inclusions, to pale pink, to a very bright magenta pink. While very similar in appearance to pink tourmaline, these stones are often more opaque, while tourmaline will be more clear. The most prized pink jades have a consistent bright colour and a nice polish.

Pink jade is believed by some to promote qualities of forgiveness and help promote a compassionateand understanding outlook. Some believe that jade may strengthen the heart and immune system and that it may also cleanse the blood, increase longevity and fertility. It has been said that the entrance to heaven is blocked by a huge jade boulder. Only people that cherished jade during their lifetime can move the boulder and enter heaven.

Quartz is often found in crystal form and is the most often sought after for its healing or crystal properties. Quartz is said to receive, activate, store, transmit and amplify energy. It is also said to be an emotional balancer as it dispels negativity. It is the stone used most often for meditation.

This stone requires special care - exposure to water and other chemicals, such as shampoos or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
