Kyanite is a blue mineral. Its name is derived from the Greek word kyanos meaning blue. It is a form of aluminum silicate.
Kyanite is used primarily in refractory and ceramic products, including porcelain plumbing fixtures and dinnerware. It is also used in electrical insulators and abrasives. Kyanite is also used as a gemstone, although not very often. Kyanite is prized as a collector's mineral for its beautiful color and crystal structures.
Kyanite is believed by some to help maintain a logical way of thinking, it is a good stone for risk takers as it may help to provide balance under extreme conditions. Some believe it also enhances motor skills, and may be good for throat problems.
The term Chakra refers to wheels of spiritual power and energy throughout the human body. There are seven main chakras, which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. Imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.
Visually, the Chakras are displayed in a channel, each with its own unique colour and meaning. Purple stones represent the Crown Chakra, which amplifies wisdom.
Indigo and dark blue stones represent the Third Eye Chakra, which amplifies perception.
Light blue stones represent the Throat Chakra, which amplifies truth.
Green and pink stones represent the Heart Chakra, which amplifies compassion.
Yellow stones represent the Solar Plexus Chakra, which amplifies strength.
Orange stones represent the Sacral Chakra, which amplifies creativity.
Red stones represent the Root Chakra, which amplifies courage.
When used together, these stones are meant to remind you of your completeness, and balance your chakras to allow positive energy to flow through you.
Rhodium plated jewellery is made from a base metal alloy that is coated in a thin layer of rhodium for extra strength and luster. Jewellery plated in rhodium is shinier and more durable than other metals. Rhodium plating does not scratch, dent, or corrode and retains its luster (see chain care below).
Gold plated jewellery is made from a base metal alloy that is coated in a thin layer of genuine gold for extra strength and luster. Jewellery plated in gold uses 14 karat or 18 karat gold for a beautiful, shiny luster.

This stone requires special care - exposure to water and other chemicals, such as lotions or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
Chain care: It is recommended that the chains are not submerged in water or jewellery cleaning chemicals to best protect the finish. Oils in your skin may also wear out the finish over time, so for best long-lasting results, wear the chain over your clothes instead of directly against the skin. These chains may contain nickel, which has been known to cause an allergic reaction in some consumers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
