Grandidierite Pendant

Grandidierite is a very rare gemstone, closely related to the emerald. First discovered in Madagascar in 1902, grandidierite is extremely rare and uncommon. Ranked among the rarest gemstones in the world, grandidierite consistently ranks in the top 10, with gem quality crystals being big enough to facet and polish being almost unheard of. Adding to its allure is that grandidierite is considered a trichroic pleochroism, meaning that it may show three different colours depending on the angle in which you view it. The most common colours of grandidierite are blue, green, or blue-green.

Spiritually, grandidierite is the stone of harmony, clarity, and truth. Associated with both the Heart and Throat chakras, grandidierite may facilitate honest communication, aid in self-expression, and emotional healing. Exposure to water and other chemicals, such as shampoos or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
