Campo Del Cielo Meteorite and Herkimer Diamond Pendant

Campo Del Cielo meteorites, meaning "field of heaven", are estimated to have fallen from space onto Earth between 4000-5800 years ago. Meteorites provide evidence for the early composition of the universe, and can lead to many interesting questions like whether a meteorite destroyed the dinosaurs or brought life to Earth.

Herkimer diamonds are not actually diamonds, but double-terminated quartz crystals discovered within exposed outcrops of dolomite in and out Herkimer County, New York and the Mohawk River Valley. The "diamond" in their name is due to both their clarity and natural faceting. Double terminated quartz crystals may be found in sites all around the world, but only those mined in Herkimer County can be given the name "Herkimer Diamond".

Unusually transparent with a brilliant sparkle, Herkimer Diamonds manifest pure, solid Light and are powerful amplifiers of spiritual energy. As perfect conduits of the universal Life Force, they are exceptional healing crystals.

Exposure to water and other chemicals, such as shampoos or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.

As this meteorite is composed mostly of iron, care must be taken to prevent the piece from rusting. Direct exposure to water is not recommended. Oil the piece regularly with mineral oil or olive oil. Do not leave the piece laying around on wet surfaces.
