Blue Lace Agate Ring

Blue lace agate is one of the most popular agates because of its beautiful light blue or lavender color, which is often lined with white stripes or bands. Because of these unusual stripes no two pieces of blue lace agate are exactly alike. The stone usually comes from Africa although there is small find in southern British Columbia. Expert gem cutters carefully select the rock and cut to produce the stones with the best color patterns.

Exposure to water and other chemicals, such as shampoos or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
