Oreodon was a small, extinct herbivorous mammal that lived during the Oligocene epoch and is often described as resembling a cross between a sheep, pig, and camel. These animals once roamed North America in large herds. Fossilized oreodon teeth are prized for their distinctive shape and the insight they offer into prehistoric land mammals, providing a fascinating contrast to the marine fossils in this bundle. Approximate age: 23–34 million years old.
