Campo Del Cielo Meteorite:

Campo del cielo was a very large meteorite fall, it is theorized to be a large piece that broke up when entering the atmosphere, some 4000 to 6000 years ago. Campo del cielo means field of the sky or heaven, which is a very appropriate name.

Black Tektite:

Tektites are an unusual formation. The name comes from the Greek "tektos" meaning melted. Tektites have long been a mystery, and many theories brought forward to explain what they are. Today, most scientists believe that tektites are formed by the impact of large meteors on the Earth's surface. These impacts would shoot sand, rock, and other debris way up into the atmosphere. When this debris fell from the sky and came back to the surface, it was superheated and changed during re-entry. Pieces could fall to the Earth hundreds of miles from the impact site.

Black Agate:

Agate is a relatively common stone that may be found around the world. Agate is a member of the chalcedony/ quartz family of stones. Agate comes in hundreds of different varieties and colours. Agates are believed to have been formed millions of years ago during volcanic eruptions. The volcanic lava flows left cavities filled with gas. As the flows cooled, these cavities allowed for mineral bearing solutions to enter and the combinations of these solutions along with heat, pressure and millions of years allowed the agate to form. Agate will resemble a potato on the outside, the stone must then be cut or sliced to see the beautiful colors inside.

Each kit features one of each specimen and a keychain and no two are exactly alike. The kit you receive may have slight variations from the one photographed. This kit is ready made and is not customizable.
