Worry Stone - Pale Hematoid Quartz

Worry stones are smooth stones with an indent that are said to ease stress and worry. Common to Buddhist meditation, it is said that a monk would start meditating with a smooth, round stone that would be rubbed with the thumb during meditation. Over the course of the monk's life, eventually an indentation would form, and this was a sign that the monk had reached enlightenment. Today, we sell these stones with the indentation already carved. Worry stones make the perfect gift for the worriers, the spiritual nomads, and will help focus those who can't seem to sit still.

Hematite quartz is an unusual stone which can range from various tones of yellows and reds depending on the iron content in the quartz. This occurs very rarely in nature. Sometimes other minerals may occur within the quartz, these stones are called lodalite quartz. The dots and various metals, rutiles, and inclusions make for very interesting stones, no two are alike. They are prized by collectors.

Our worry stones are made out of authentic stones, and no two are exactly alike. The item you receive may have slight variations from the one photographed.

Exposure to water and other chemicals, such as cleaning products or aerosols, will damage it over time. If you polish the stone, use a dry cloth only, or an air duster that does not contain any disinfectant or other chemicals.
