Campo Del Cielo meteorites, meaning "field of heaven", are estimated to have fallen from space onto Earth between 4000-5800 years ago. Meteorites provide evidence for the early composition of the universe, and can lead to many interesting questions like whether a meteorite destroyed the dinosaurs or brought life to Earth.

Libyan Gold Desert Glass: This is an unusual gold colored substance, some believe it to be a tektite. It is believed to have been formed when a meteorite hit the inhospitable Western Sahara Desert and exploded above it 26 million years ago. The explosion and impact of the meteorite catapulted molten rock and sand into the stratosphere creating a glass-like substance that formed as the material made its way back to earth.

Desert Glass is effective for those who do not feel fully connected to the earth.  Spiritually the stone carries powerful sun energy and abundant life force, acting as a protective amulet for any journey, both physical or metaphysical. Exposure to water and other chemicals, such as shampoos or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
