Pink jade is a member of the jade family of stones, and ranges in colour from white with pink swirlsand inclusions, to pale pink, to a very bright magenta pink. While very similar in appearance to pink tourmaline, these stones are often more opaque, while tourmaline will be more clear. The most prized pink jades have a consistent bright colour and a nice polish.

This stone requires special care- exposure to water and other chemicals, such as lotions or perfumes, will damage it over time. If you polish the jewellery, avoid polishing the stone itself. A silver-cleaning dip should never be used with this piece.
