Did you know that there are many shapes and sizes in the world of crystals, and with so many options, how do you know which shape is right for you?

The healing properties of the crystal stay the same no matter the shape, but the way you use the crystal and how it can affect change in your life can differ depending on the shape.

Point or Tower   

A crystal point is an intense energy tool that serves to focus and amplify the power of the stone. You can use it to direct healing energy inward, by turning the point toward you, or outward, by turning it away. Many people use their points to manifest intentions, because a standing point will continue to radiate the energy of your intention out into the universe even after you leave it. Points are some of the best crystals for beginners because of their versatility.

We have two kinds of points, single terminated with a base and one point or double terminated with no base and one point at either end. In single terminated crystals, the energy is directed from the base (bottom) and out the top (termination).

Double Terminated Point

Based on the growth pattern, double terminated crystals don’t have a base or bottom as such, and the energy may be directed both ways. Double terminated points send as well as receive energy, and can promote psychic ability and dream recall, as well as bring balance.   

Sphere   

A crystal sphere emits energy equally out in every direction. It provides a gentle, full energy that you can feel both grounded by and immersed in. You can hold a sphere in your hand while meditating, or two spheres in meditation can bring a sense of harmony to your practice. A sphere represents completion, the realization of all possibilities. To carve a sphere one must cut away a mass of rock which can be as much as ten times the finished creation - a sphere symbolizes all that we need to release in order to reach our goals and attain perfection.           

Egg

A crystal egg symbolizes fertility. The egg shape symbolizes the first step that we must complete in order to achieve the realization of our goals and dreams. It also symbolizes things that have no beginning and no end. Egg shaped crystals are perfect for mediation, as you can hold the egg comfortably in your hand. This can have a special, comforting feeling and can assist with grounding you to focus in on your intentions.

Cube      

A crystal cube is associated with the root chakra. This makes it a powerfully grounding stone to create calm in your environment. If you like, you can establish a protective grid by placing a crystal cube in each of the four corners of your room. 

Crystal clusters are one of the most beautiful occurrences in nature. A cluster happens when many points form on the same matrix (the base rock the crystal grew on). Because a cluster has so many points, it is believed to vibrate a higher energy. Having a cluster in your home or space will ensure that it remains elevated with the energy you want to cultivate.
