It’s a gift for my daughter
My daughter studied Geology in university. We also lived, for many years, in a mining town in northern Ontario, where stray rocks and minerals were just lying there waiting to be discovered. Found an amethyst in my school yard when I was 12. Lots of fools gold, aka iron pyrite, in the gravel in the school’s yard as well. We’ve been collecting rocks and minerals for many years. But the selection there was limited by geography. No geodes, no agates, the things we longed for. Sarah-Jane will be thrilled when she finally gets her gift. I’ll send another review then. I’m partial to blue glass, even have a sun catching collection of blue glass bottles.
The shade of blue in the Kyanite caught my eye and that was that! I’m currently looking for a glass shelving unit to display my trilobites, minerals, geodes & agate. Of course it will have room for more …My other recent purchases are future gift foe family and friends. Great to give one of a kind gifts!
