Titanium Plated Labradorite is a form of plagioclase feldspar; it is closely related to moonstone. It is a chatoyant stone (colors flash on different angles), usually blue and green with pinks, yellows and other colors on occasion. Good Labradorite will have a bright flash or play of colors when turned different angles.
Labradorite is considered a magical stone for those who travel and embrace the universe. Inuit peoples claim Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis, transforming to the extraordinary and separating reality from unseen realms.
These faceted labradorite beads boast a metallic finish, caused when the stone is plated with a metal. To start, the labradorite is selected, then treated via an electrostatic process whereby the stones are put into a vacuum and charged. Heat is applied. The plating metal of choice is then put into the vacuum and it "clings" to the stone, giving it an entirely unique quality of iridescence or colour.
These plated beads are created with the help of Titanium.
Muonionalusta is an iron meteorite classified as a fine octahedrite, which impacted the northern Scandinavia West of the border between Sweden and Finland approximately one million years ago. First discovered in 1906, the Muonionalusta is probably the oldest known meteorite on Earth. Since landing on Earth, this meteorite has experienced four ice ages. The Muonionalusta meteorite itself is older than Earth, as it dates within several million years of the formation of our solar system.
Muonionalusta meteorites have the most beautiful etch pattern. When cut or sliced, the interior reveals perfect Widmannstätten crystal structure. This pattern is the result of the meteorite cooling in outer space over billions of years. Each meteorite is unique and will display a different crystal structure.
Meteorites are known to assist with spiritual growth, increase psychic abilities and help connect with other realms. This piece is a perfect gift for the dreamers, space enthusiasts and armchair philosophers.
Each high quality plated faceted labradorite bead and polished Muonionalusta bead have been skillfully cut and plated or polished individually, then drilled to create this colorful bracelet. Connected with jewellery elastic, this bracelet stretches to fit. Perfect for stacking with other bracelets or just to wear on its own.
