At 52ft long and more than 12 tons in weight, Spinosaurus is estimated to be the to be the largest therapod by far. It is thought that Spinosaurus would fish in lakes and rivers, and prey upon small and medium dinosaurs on land. They were fairly common in the Late Cretaceous. The most complete Spinosaurus skeleton was destroyed by allied bombing raid on Germany in World War II.
