Gratitude stones remind us of the things we are grateful for, and allow us to send positive energy back into the universe. Often, when we pause to consider an invisible, intangible, difficult to describe emotion or idea, such as gratitude, it helps if we can assign a physical object to that feeling. Gratitude stones are hand-carved or natural stones that we can give the name “Gratitude” as a reminder to keep happiness, tranquility, and gratitude in our lives.

Smoky quartz is a variety of quartz, often found in beautiful black crystals. Scientists believe the black may have been caused by natural radioactivity in the Earth, but don't worry, it is perfectly safe to handle now. 

Smokey Quartz is an excellent grounding stone. It gently neutralizes negative vibrations and is detoxifying on all levels.

Exposure to water and other chemicals, such as cleaning products or aerosols, will damage it over time. If you polish the stone, use a dry cloth only, or an air duster that does not contain any disinfectant or other chemicals.
