Wood begins a petrification process once it is buried in sediments. Overtime, the mineral rich water from the soil will replace the organic cells of the wood with inorganic elements like carbon (black), cobalt (green/blue), chromium (green/blue), copper, (green/blue), iron oxides (red/brown/yellow), manganese (pink), manganese oxides (black) and silica ( white/grey/blueish white) to name a few. Some specimens once completely turned into stone keep the same look as modern wood. Only when cut and polished can we see the intricate work of nature.
Petrified Wood is used to connect with past lives, to get more grounded, to bring business success or to stabilize emotions.
