Lemurian Quartz is a variety of Quartz which exhibit a growth pattern called Striations—natural, distinctive, indented lines across one or more of its facets—similar to a ladder or barcode in appearance.

Lemurian crystals are said to hold the ancient secrets of the mythical continent, Lemuria. Lemurian’s were said to be an advanced civilization of ancient beings who were both peaceful and spiritual in nature. Hematite or hematoid quartz is an unusual stone which can range from various tones of yellows and reds depending on the iron content in the quartz. This occurs very rarely in nature. Sometimes other minerals may occur within the quartz, these stones are called lodalite quartz. The dots and various metals, rutiles, and inclusions make for very interesting stones, no two are alike. They are prized by collectors.
