Juniper Quartz Point

Juniper Quartz is quartz with iron inclusions trapped inside of it. This means that the quartz will have iron inside it; some that grew within the quartz as it was forming, or the quartz may have grown around the iron that was already present. If the iron did not oxidize, it will be green in hue; otherwise it will be red/burgundy due to oxidation or rust. This unusual colour paring is similar to our local juniper berries, which is where the name juniper quartz comes from.

In single terminated crystals, the energy is directed from the base (bottom) and out the top (termination). Based on the growth pattern, double terminated crystals don’t have a base or bottom as such, and the energy may be directed both ways. Double terminated points send as well as receive energy, so they promote psychic ability and dream recall. They are also used for balance.

Juniper Quartz is also known as Seer Quartz or Shaman Dream Quartz. These crystals are used by Shamans to induce visionary experiences and to promote healing of the mind and body.
