Rose quartz is a pink colored semi-precious gemstone. The pink color is caused by traces of manganese or titanium and will range from a light to dark pink color. The stone makes beautiful jewellery once it has been cut and polished. Rose quartz may be found in British Columbia, Canada but is better known from other sources around the world.

Each bead is skillfully polished individually, then drilled to create this colorful bracelet. Connected with jewellery elastic, this bracelet stretches to fit. Perfect for stacking with other bracelets or just to wear on its own. A must-have staple for any jewellery box.

It’s a gift for my daughter

My daughter studied Geology in university. We also lived, for many years, in a mining town in northern Ontario, where stray rocks and minerals were just lying there waiting to be discovered. Found an amethyst in my school yard when I was 12. Lots of fools gold, aka iron pyrite, in the gravel in the school’s yard as well. We’ve been collecting rocks and minerals for many years. But the selection there was limited by geography. No geodes, no agates, the things we longed for. Sarah-Jane will be thrilled when she finally gets her gift. I’ll send another review then. Beautiful blue!

I’m partial to blue glass, even have a sun catching collection of blue glass bottles.
The shade of blue in the Kyanite caught my eye and that was that! I’m currently looking for a glass shelving unit to display my trilobites, minerals, geodes & agate.
